NEW EVERY MORNING

 

 

Psalm 119:73-80

   This prayer includes five attributes of God.  As Creator, God made and fashioned His child.  He is faithful in caring for His creation with steadfast love and mercy.  As Lawgiver God provides the guidance His child needs to live a blameless life.

 

   God’s child responds with these statements and requests.

·        Those who fear You shall see me and rejoice because I have hoped in Your Word

·        I know Your rules are righteous

·        I know You have afflicted me in faithfulness

·        Your law is my delight

·        I will meditate on Your precepts

 

·        Give me understanding that I may learn Your commandments

·        Let Your steadfast love comfort me according to Your promise

·        Let Your mercy come to me that I may live

·        Let the insolent be put to shame because they have wronged me with falsehood

·        Let those who fear You turn to me that they may know Your testimonies

·        May my heart be blameless in Your statutes, that I may not be put to shame

 

AMEN!

 

   Glorify and enjoy Your faithful, loving, merciful, and just Creator today.
