NEW EVERY MORNING

Psalm 119:113-120

   This prayer is from the heart of God’s child who is struggling to live in a society that is in constant rebellion against God and His Word.  Double minded, evildoers, those who go astray, and the wicked fill the world in which God’s child lives.  Their ways influence the life of the community.

 

   Because of this fact the following requests are made.

·        Remove the evildoers that I may keep the commandments of my God

·        Uphold me according to Your promise that I may live

·        Let me not be put to shame in my hope

·        Hold me up that I may be safe and have regard for your statutes continually

 

   God’s child reminds himself of facts He knows about God.

·        You are my hiding place and my shield

·        You spurn all who go astray from Your statutes for their cunning is in vain

·        You discard all the wicked of the earth like dross

 

   Then God’s child responds with these commitments.

·        I love Your law

·        I hope in Your Word

·        I tremble with reverent and obedient awe at Your judgments

 

AMEN!

 

   Thank God that He is your hiding place and protector, as you glorify Him and enjoy Him today.
