NEW EVERY MORNING

 

Psalm 119:129-136

    Your testimonies are wonderful is the praise that begins this prayer.  The last statement in the prayer, My eyes shed streams of tears, because people do not keep Your law, is from the heart of God’s child who loves God’s Word.  He knows that the unfolding of Your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple.  The desire for God’s commandments is so great that it has a physical effect on God’s child.

I open my mouth and pant because I long for Your commandments.

 

    These requests are made of God.

·        Turn to me and be gracious to me, as is Your way with those who love Your name

·        Keep my steps steady according to Your promise

·        Let no iniquity get dominion over me

·        Redeem me from man’s oppression that I may keep Your precepts

·        Make Your face shine upon Your servant

·        Teach me Your statutes

 

AMEN!
