NEW EVERY MORNING

 

 

Psalm 119:137-144

   Praise for God’s righteousness fills this prayer.  Righteous are you, O Lord, and right are Your rules.  You have appointed Your testimonies in righteousness and in all faithfulness…Your righteousness is righteous forever, Your law is true…Your testimonies are righteous forever.  Everything God does is right, good, and just because God is righteous, good, and just.  Praise God!

 

   God’s child describes His life situation that is protected by God’s righteousness.

·        My zeal (passion) consumes me because my foes forget Your precepts

·        Your promise is well tried and your servant loves it

·        I am small and despised

·        Trouble and anguish have found me out

 

   These are the commitments made by God’s child

·        I do not forget Your precepts

·        Your commandments are my delight

 

   This is the one request in the prayer.

·        Give me understanding that I may live

 

AMEN!
