NEW EVERY MORNING
This last prayer of Psalm 119 is the cry of a sheep that has strayed from the Shepherd. The writer of these words was very familiar with the behavior of sheep and the kindness of the shepherd, whose job it was to seek missing sheep and to bring them back to safety. I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek Your servant. Let my cry come before you, O Lord; give me understanding according to Your Word. Let my plea come before You, deliver me according to Your Word.
Besides these requests God’s child, the sheep who strayed, asks the following:
· Let Your hand be ready to help me
· Let my soul live and praise You
· Let Your rules help me
Statements of praise:
· My lips will pour forth Your praise
· You teach me Your statutes
· My tongue will sing of Your Word
· All Your commandments are right
· Your law is my delight
Statements of commitment:
· I have chosen Your salvation
· Let my soul live and praise You
· Let Your rules help me
· I do not forget Your commandments
AMEN!
Praise the Good Shepherd for His loving care as you glorify and enjoy God today.
HAVE A BLESSED DAY!
