NEW EVERY MORNING

Psalm 3

   What does it mean to enjoy God?  The writer of this Psalm is enjoying God as his protector, sustainer, and savior.  Knowing that God responds to his cries for help brings peace and joy in the midst of chaos. 

 

   Thomas Vincent, another 17^th century pastor, has these insights as to how we can enjoy God each day.

 

·        Rest in God with complacency and delight as the One who brings that which is good into your life   (Psalm 116:7)

·        Because of your faith placed in God’s promises you are blessed with a sense of God’s presence creating intense joy  (Psalm 16:11)

·        Know that the joy God brings to your life each day does not compare with the eternal joy of Heaven (I Thessalonians 4:17-18)

 

   As God’s child you can live in Heaven on earth.  This understanding gives a joy filled approach to the circumstances you face each day.

 

   Enjoy God’s presence in your life as you glorify Him today.
