Psalm 6

   Today we are going to look at how we glorify and enjoy God by spending time in His Word.  The Bible is the place God tells us about who He is and what He wants us to be.  We see the greatness of our Creator in the world around us, but we learn the character of our Creator in His Word.  God wants us to know Him.

 

   Praying Scripture is one way to glorify and enjoy God when you are reading the Bible.  The Psalms are frequently in prayer format which allows the reader to be the I/me in the prayer.  God put prayer in His Word for us to use.

 

   Psalm 6 is a prayer for deliverance from grief and sadness.  Various aspects of God’s character are a part of the prayer.  God is

·        Gracious

·        Healer

·        Deliverer

·        Protector

·        One who hears and answers my prayer

 

   Glorify and enjoy God today by reflecting on His character and how He hears and answers prayer.
