Psalm 7

   God is glorified when His children spend time with Him, enjoying Him.  Sometimes it seems to be difficult to read the Bible, especially for people who have not been brought up with Scripture as part of their lives.  Here are two tips to help God’s Word become more meaningful to you.

 

   First, make sure you are a part of a church whose mission is to preach the truth of God’s Word.  In this setting you will be trained in how to understand what God says about Himself and His creation.  You will also find yourself with a group of people who are seeking to glorify and enjoy God.

 

   Then, when you are alone with God’s Word, ask yourself two questions about the passage you are reading.  What is God saying about Himself (revelation)?  What do I need to do about what God says (response)?  This seems very simple, and you will be amazed at what you learn.

 

   Read Psalm 7 with the revelation/response way of study.

 

   Glorify God today as you enjoy reading and responding to His Word.
