NEW EVERY MORNING

John 6:52-59

     At first read this passage is difficult to understand.  The grumbling Jewish leaders are disputing Jesus’ statement that the “Living Bread” is His flesh.  Jesus responds by describing the benefits of nourishment from feeding on His flesh and blood, the Living Bread.

 

     When Jesus died His flesh and blood was sacrificed for the salvation of His people.  Believing in Him for salvation and nourishing the soul with spiritual food gives spiritual health to the soul.  Unless Jesus is your source of sustenance you are spiritually dead.

 

     What is Jesus telling you about Himself and how should you respond?

 

     Glorify and enjoy God as you feast on the Living Bread.
