NEW EVERY MORNING

John 6:60-71

     These verses are about Jesus’ closest followers, His disciples.  Jesus  had two types of followers, those who were called by God and those who thought Jesus did amazing things.  When Jesus presented ideas that they didn’t understand and that infuriated the local religious leaders, the disciples who thought Jesus was cool turned back and walked away from Him.

 

     The other disciples stayed because their hearts had been changed and they knew that Jesus had the words of eternal life, even though they didn’t understand what Jesus was saying.  Popular culture didn’t dictate their behavior.  They were faithful to Christ.

 

     What is Jesus telling you about Himself and how should you respond?

 

     Glorify and enjoy God today as a faithful follower aka disciple.
