Proverbs 1:2-6                            Why Proverbs?

     There are at least six purposes presented for the study of these proverbs, and ultimately for the study of all of God’s Word.

 

¨                  To know wisdom and instruction

¨                  To understand words of insight

¨                  To receive instruction in wise dealing

¨                  To give prudence to the simple

¨                  To give knowledge and discretion to the youth

¨                  To understand a proverb and a saying

 

     The results of studying this book, and the Book in which Proverbs is found (the Bible), is increased learning and guidance.  What would the world be like if everyone lived according to the standards of Proverbs?

This is a good question to start the study of Proverbs.

 

     What is God telling you about Himself and how should you respond?

 

     Glorify and enjoy God today as you seek His wisdom.
